Frequently Asked Questions for the Defensive Driving Courses
Q- What program do you teach?
A-We offer the National Safety Council’s 4 and 8 Hour Classes.
Q- When do you offer the classes?
A- We offer the classes on each Saturday.
Q- Are the classes State Certified by the Department of Safety?
A-Yes, the classes are State of Tennessee Department of Safety approved and we are listed on the State’s web site which shows our listing.
Q- Are the classes good for an auto insurance discount?
A-Check with your auto agent for this. Most insurance companies will provide you with a discount for attending the class.
Q- What is the difference between the 4 and 8 hour classes?
A- Those that receive a local traffic ticket are offered the 4-hour class vs. having points on their driving record. Some counties require the 8 hour class no matter the type of ticket received.
Q- Does the class include behind the wheel instructions on the road?
A- No. This class is in class only. For behind the wheel instructional training call 865-463-8038.
Q- What form of payment do you accept?
A- We accept cash, money orders, and credit card. NO PERSONAL CHECKS

Q- How old do you have to be to attend a class?
A- Person younger than 15 years of age must have a parent or guardian present. No age limit 15 and up.
Q- Are the classes good for ticket removal?
No. Once the ticket(s) are on your MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) they stay there until the time allotted to be removed. When you get a ticket, the court(s) will, in many cases, give you an opportunity to attend a state certified class to prevent the ticket from being added to your MVR.
